Our Mission
Four Reasons Why Regular Giving Is Best
It’s more convenient for you.
Life is busy, so let us make things easier and process your regular donation through direct debit.
Your dollars make a bigger impact.
When you sign up to make regular donations, it saves us on admin costs. That means more of your donation goes towards our important research, support and prevention programs.
It makes it easier for us to fund our vital support services and research projects.
Regular donations give us a predictable source of funding, which means we can plan and execute vital long-term projects. Consistent donations also mean we can continue to provide the right level of care to cancer patients when and where they need it most.
You can make a bigger deduction at tax time.
All donations over $2 to Cancer Council Queensland are tax-deductible. Donating regularly in manageable amounts means you can accumulate a bigger deduction to claim at the end of the financial year, maximising your tax benefits

Wendy’s story
When Wendy was only 43, she was diagnosed with a stage three triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma, a form of breast cancer.
Wendy says “it was during this time that I rang Cancer Council Queensland. They were good listeners. They understood what I was going through and gave me tools to help me cope,’
“I was even able to do a program where they taught me how to put a wig on and apply makeup for my eyebrows,’
“It was comforting to know they were always only a phone call away, ready to give advice and answer my questions.”
Wendy’s breast cancer unfortunately returned within five years, but she went on to make a full recovery. She now takes part in triathlons and marathons in her local community on the Sunshine Coast.
David’s story
David had only just retired when he found out he had prostate cancer in early 2021. He is now currently in remission.
David says he was able to use Cancer Council Queensland’s resources on understanding prostate cancer and radiation therapy to help educate himself about his cancer, and what to expect during treatment.
With your regular support, we’re able to make our wide range of printed resources available to people across Queensland, and they can also be viewed at any time on our website.
